If you are able to give those the ability to walk or the ability to use their arms to eat or to work and earn money, to finally carry their child in thier arms, you have restored one of the most important aspects of an individual's existence, their identity. It doesn't matter how big or small you give, so as long as you give what you genuinely can, you can make change and create impact in lives that need it more than you.

Why
Hands for Africa’s philosophy is to give a “hand up,” not a “handout.” By providing individuals in need with the necessary tools to help them succeed, they become self-reliant and capable of not only supporting themselves and their families but also helping others up.
Purpose
Hands for Africa promotes awareness of the ongoing blood diamond trade in Sierra Leone by educating the global community of its negative and lasting effects on innocent lives. The organization also helps those affected to meet their basic needs and to live a normal life again.
Mission
In order to break the debilitating cycle of poverty and provide lasting results, Hands for Africa teams up with other organizations to develop and implement successful programs that allocate prosthetics, disaster relief, rehabilitation, and educational scholarships.
